Frost precautions

In the cold weather try to keep your home reasonable warm both day and night. If you are going away and leaving your home empty for a few days, turn off water at the stopcock and drain all water off the system by turning on all the taps and flushing the toilet. Make sure all the water has stopped running before you leave home. Alternatively you could leave your heating on low. This will prevent damage caused by pipes freezing.
